Be part of a new way forward for road network management in Victoria. Service Stream are looking for Road Maintenance Worker's to start early May, based out of their Clayton depot.
About the Role
We’re excited to have been awarded the Metropolitan Victorian Road Maintenance Contract – South Central Region.
Starting in July this year, we’ll be working across Melbourne’s south-eastern suburbs and right down the Mornington Peninsula, delivering routine maintenance, emergency response and defect rectification works, as well as network refurbishment and upgrade projects, under a major long-term contract with the Victorian Government.Â

How you'll contribute:
Road Maintenance Workers are our critical front-line resources delivering the VRMC Services.
Working under the direction of our Supervisors, in crews of 2-4 people, Road Maintenance Workers are accountable for:Â
Performing Rapid Response to incidents and emergencies across the networkÂ
Carrying out scheduled routine servicing and hazard and defect rectification works for pavements, bridges and other structural assets, and all roadside assets (barriers, signage, vegetation)Â
Completing all works in line with Section 750 PB requirements, with a strong focus on safety, quality and efficiencyÂ
Recording works-related data in the field, in line with work instructions, ensuring accuracy and completenessÂ
You’ll also participate in daily pre-start and shift-close meetings, contributing ideas for changes and improvements in work practices to enhance safety and efficiency.Â
About You:
You’ll have at least 12 months’ experience working as part of a crew maintaining pavements, bridges and other structural assets, and/or roadside assets (barriers, signage, vegetation).Â
A committed team player who drives for service excellence and continuous improvement, you’ll demonstrate:Â
A track record of working with a relentless focus on worker, road user and community safetyÂ
High levels of self-motivation, exceptional time-management skills and a proven ability to work efficiently with minimal supervisionÂ
Sound digital and data management skills, including familiarity with field applications for works managementÂ
Formal qualifications (Cert III or higher) in civil construction are a bonus, but not essential if you can demonstrate equivalent knowledge and capability
