Our Founder Kyle Vander-Kuyp OLY is the Deputy Chef de Mission of the IAC ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Olympians have made an enormous contribution to Australia’s Olympic story with 60 Indigenous athletes representing Australia.
The AOC Indigenous Advisory Committee (IAC) was established in 2019 to advise and assist the AOC achieve its ambition to take meaningful action to improve the lives of First Peoples through sport. Our Founder Kyle Vander-Kuyp OLY is the Deputy Chef de Mission of the IAC, where his passions for providing Culturally-safe support for Indigenous athletes and mentoring future generations are strongly advocated.
Kyle and his son Khayle attended the Prime Minister’s Olympic & Paralympic Dinner in Naarm last week, where they were alongside some of Australia's most inspiring athletes and leaders, including Patty Mills AM, Cate Campbell OAM and Dylan Alcott AO.
A special mention to Kuku Yalanji artist Jessica Mauboy and her new single ,”Higher”, which was performed on the night and will be the official Australian Team Song set to soundtrack the Australian Olympians at the Paris 2024 Games.
