JP Whitbread is Chair and a Founder of the Killara Foundation. He has over 25 years experience as a CEO, Executive Director and insurance industry leader. Having successfully sold the family business to a publicly listed company in 2017, JP is currently focusing on providing mentorship in both the corporate and not-for-profit sectors. JP has a particular interest in those that seek to use their success to solve social problems and drive change.
JP's commitment to social justice is reflected in his philanthropic work across a range of Indigenous and education based charities and foundations including Killara.
JP is also a Fellow of the Institute of Company Director and a Fellow of the Australia and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance. He is deeply involved with St Kevin's Old Boys Football where he serves as club Vice President.
