Kane Bowden

Kane spent his formative years in country Victoria and Alice Springs, including time in Ernabella (Pukatja), an Aboriginal community on the South Australian/Northern Territory border. These experiences formed his strongly-held views on the importance of social justice and the dignity of every human being. It has led him to become one of Australia’s leading advocates for Indigenous peoples.
A tireless worker in promoting the principles of equality and solidarity, Kane started his career as a Teacher in Melbourne and Darwin. He then became a Manager for KIDS Foundation before serving as CEO of leading youth homelessness not-for-profit, Lighthouse Foundation.
