CSL are currently recruiting for Warehousing and Logistics Operators to be based in their Logistics Hub and Warehouse in Broadmeadows. Successful applicants will also be encouraged to apply to study the Certificate III in Supply Chain Operations (TLI30321) at Kangan Institute.

About the role with CSL

The Logistics Hub and Warehouse at CSL supports the storage of materials for supply to the new and existing manufacturing facilities. The facility has two automated high bay warehouses: a 15-25°C warehouse with a 4,388 pallet capacity, and a -28°C freezer with a 2576 pallet capacity.


The Logistics Hub’s loading bays and conveyors are designed to efficiently unload sea and air freight containers into the freezer and warehouse with minimal transfer time. The automated high bay warehouses improve warehouse safety and increase efficiency of material picking and transfers to production.


In this role, you will be required to:


• Re-palletise raw materials

• Operate manual and electronic pallet jacks

• Label raw materials

• Move pallets and bins around the warehouse

• Operate a scanning device

• Attend daily meetings

• Potential forklift driving if qualified forklift license

• Load and unload trucks

• Warehouse general cleaning and house keeping

• Lift boxes and or bags no heavier than 10kgs


This is a 1 year paid contract position ($69,029.96 + Superannuation).  Alongside your employment you will be paid to complete a Certificate III in Supply Chain Operations to study at Kangan Institute.


You will learn practical skills in:


• Receiving incoming goods, checking for damage and for discrepancies between goods and invoices

• Unloading vehicles, opening packages and removing contents

• Operating computers to obtain details of location and quantity of items in stock

• Labelling goods with details of storage location

• Packing and weighing goods and sealing boxes

• Operating machines to lift, place and remove goods on high levels

• Operating specialised equipment and checking goods off picking lists

• Learning the skills to be part of stocktakes

• Using materials handling equipment, such as hydraulic jacks and hand trucks to move goods
